Bernard speaks amazing English, showed us all the main sites of Innsbruck. He recommended cafe’s, restaurants and activities. His bar/cafe recommendations were 10/10 and we went back multiple times.
He gave us a tour of the free locations and explains the most cost effective ways to access the rest.

We were so lucky to meet up with Michaela (Michi). Our train from Munich late but she waited for us for over an hour and then spent from 17:00-19:00 showing us around the town she loves. Very knowledgeable and humourous about all things Innsbruck & Austria.

We saw so much we would have missed or misunderstood. So grateful to spend a few hours with a lovely local.

We had a lovely time with Rudi. Really enjoyed the walk and talk, lots of information especially about how people live in Innsbruck. Very grateful for such a pleasant afternoon.
Thank you

We spent a most enjoyable morning with Rudi who showed us some parts of the city which we would never have otherwise visited, as well as the main tourist sites. A few days beforehand, we exchanged emails and Rudi gave us many helpful suggestions and recommendations. We got on very well with him, and are very grateful for his time and assistance.

An Innsbruck Greeter was a great way to find out a bit more about this city. Silvia was easily contactable and available to us as planned. She showed us around the oldest part of the city (less touristy) and told us about the history. She also took us to the market and explained about local foods.
I think it might be better if you knew what you were most interested in before you did this walk (because it’s not a guided tour it’s just a walk with someone who knows the area) , but it’s hard to know when you haven’t been somewhere before!

So we are in our last morning here and we’ll just have a wander round the shops, perhaps get some wine at “Invinum” !
We’ve very much enjoyed our time here….many thanks to you and Silvia for showing us part of your city on Wednesday and for the hints and tips. We made it to “Die Brennerei” last night for a lovely meal and their own Gin, followed by Williams and then Vogelbeere [mountain ash] Schnapps !

So very best wishes from us to you and again our sincere thanks. If you ever come to the South of England, please do let us know…and perhaps I’ll look into becoming a Greeter….
