Amazing

I found having a greeter was a valuable experience. Martina and I hit it off automatically and had much in common. It almost felt like we were sisters from a long time ago. It was a very relaxed environment. I never felt pressured that she wanted to go do something else. She asked me what I wanted to do and when we wanted to take the second trolley trip around she was all for it too. We had lunch and then we had a sweet treat afterwards. This basically is what I wanted to see in Innsbruck using the local greeter versus just going to the Christmas market and seeing the same things that I am seeing in other Christmas markets.

It was a valuable experience and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

We had such a lovely morning with Angelika. She took us to places we would never have seen, including the best places for photos and taught us about Innsbruck. She was marvellous!

Thank you!

We had a great tour with Rudi who showed us especially Wilten, the part of Innsbruck where we are connected to. From beautiful and splendid churches to modern buildings on Bergisel he gave us a good impression of the city, its history and many tipps to explore with great insights.

On the following days we took the bus up to Nordkette and the tramway to Igls, where you can hike or just enjoy the view.

Thank you so much!!

Great tour for kids and adults

Our Innsbruck Greeter experience was wonderful. Our guide, Michi, shared history and local insight in a way that engaged my children while still being very interesting for us adults. You could tell how much she loves her city. My parents and I learned a lot, and I was amazed at how much the kids remembered afterward.

I am so grateful for the Innsbruck Greeters program and for volunteers like Michi who make travel feel welcoming and meaningful!

Glowing review!

Rudi was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, with a genuine love for his city! He asked a bit about our interests and then began to tell us about things in the city that tied into things we were interested in.

I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get to know more about Innsbruck!

Insight into Innsbruck’s history and true charm

Bernhard was wonderful to walk the city with. I truly appreciated his time and enthusiasm in describing the history of Innsbruck and the stories behind many of the buildings.

He gave me great references to continue to explore more of the city on my own. Some off of the beaten path, which I like to do. Before we even started our walk, he pulled out a map of the city to explain the grid and layout of what was once the old town and what it is today.

What an excellent way to spend 2 hours walking with a local, who gives you a different perspective of their city and truly wishes you all the best to enjoy what it has to offer.
