Wonderful time in Innsbruck!

My sister and I had a wonderful time with Rudi and Kurt in Hungerburg and old town.

It’s easy to find common tourist landmarks in a new city, but it is always a pleasure when you see the less conventional and less popular ‘hidden gems’ that a city has to offer. And that’s what Rudi and Kurt showed us. From the modern, controversial church paintings in Hungerburg, to the folk story of Frau Hitt, the morning flew by.

Both Rudi and Kurt were gracious enough to answer any questions we had, as well as being keen to learn about our country.

I would highly recommend meeting either of these two gentleman if you get a chance when in Innsbruck!

Wonderful experience in Innsbruck

I highly recommend greeters.

Michi gave up her weekend to come into town and spend it showing off her wonderful town. I had a wonderful day, getting real local insights and history from a local’s perspective. It is by far the best way to see a new city.

In addition she gave me great recommendations for the next day and I had a fabulous hike at Seefeld. Overall I loved Innsbruck, and having the chance to spend a day with a local really made the trip.
