Innsbruck Card – is it worth it?
The tourism board offers a so called “Innsbruck Card” which covers public transport and fees to many tourist attractions.
If you plan to either go by cable car to the top of the northern mountain range or to visit the Swarovski exhibition and outlet “Kristallwelten” then that card is a good buy. Otherwise, you are probably better off buying the tickets to the attractions individually. The above website also provides a savings calculator.
Welcome Card – the smaller sister
If you stay 2 nights or more you get the “welcome-card” for free from most hotels. It includes free public transport plus some other benefits. You might want to check with your hotel before booking whether you’ll get that card.
