We had a very nice greet with a walk in areas that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise and that broadened our perspective on the city, with exciting information that wasn’t just “travel guide information” and therefore all the more exciting. We learned more and many different things about the country and its people while drinking coffee and having a pleasant conversation.
The communication during the preparatory phase was very easy going. Thank you for the great flexibility and the very nice greet!
Just a quick note to say a massive thank you for our greet today. We all had a great time and learned a lot!
We took many of your recommendations this afternoon. We stayed to eat lunch at Hörtnagl’s. I had the goulash soup which was delicious. Then we explored the old town including the street with the characters from fairy tales. We stopped for a drink this afternoon at the wine bar you recommended and tonight we caught the bus to the Christmas markets in Hall. Fantastic illuminations on the buildings there, and the kids enjoyed a crepe.
Also the man in reception at our hotel asked me if we saw the birds and was very pleased when I told him that we did 🙂
All in all it was a wonderful day. Thank you so so so much. please keep in touch and if you ever come to Australia, we will (a) keep you and your wife safe from dangerous Australian animals and (b) show you around our home city of Brisbane!

Elli was amazing! So friendly and obviously enthusiastic about showing us Innsbruck. She took our wishes into account and was very knowledgeable and personable. This was our first ever greet and we couldn’t recommend it more!!

Having a local resident, (now friend), walk around the streets of Innsbruck with our family was a wonderful experience. We also benefited from having an observer trainee Elisabetta join us and share her unique perspectives.
Our three colleges daughters enjoyed hearing a bit of the local history, but more on a personal touch. Sprinkle in some shopping and sites that most large two organizations would miss.
Rudi was kind enough to give us recommendations for dining and activities prior to our arrival so we could plan our two days most effectively.
It was was comforting having someone who enjoys their lovely city just walk around and share insights experiences and observations with visitors… no planned path., more of a where we wanted to go and while we wanted to see at that moment..
So grateful and thankful for the time together with Rudi and Elizsabetta!!
My friends and I had a wonderful walk with our greeters Sylvia and her dog Maxi.
We walked around a number of the tourist areas as well as neighborhood areas to get a flavor of how people live in Innsbruck. We also stopped in a store, selling traditional clothing, which we really enjoyed and a local food market. She made a great recommendation for coffee and pastry.
I would absolutely recommend using greeters in the various cities that they are offered. This was my first time scheduling a greeter meet and I would definitely do it again.
Rudi was an excellent greeter and really made us appreciate the sites, neighborhoods, and history of Innsbruck. We walked through several important landmarks, and he told us some interesting stories you really could have only gotten from a local!
He was very helpful when it came to local recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit.

This was our first greeters tour, and we really loved having an intimate introduction to a new city. Would highly recommend this experience! Thank you, Rudi!
We were very happy to experience that – our greeter not only showed us exciting places in Innsbruck, he also told us many stories that had to do with city life. Insights into topics such as Austrian politics, economics and science were also very enriching for us.
The coordination of the appointment and the communication with Wolfgang also went smoothly, which was very relieving for us 🙂
We would like to thank you very much for the time we spent together and recommend everyone to have this experience! 🙂

We want to tell you what a great time we had in Austria!
We hiked the Zirbenweg with many other people, as expected. And it was beautiful. As we were going to board the gondola to get to the top, Silvie, a resident of Innsbruck, invited us to join her and we had a wonderful but brief conversation. She could be a greeter! We hiked the Goetheweg as well. The heat and sun were a bit much but the views were spectacular.
We took the bus into Old Innsbruck and went to the Tribaun where 9 out of 10 customers were Americans! It was fun to try different beers.
But extra thanks go to Dagmar who recommended Gasthaus Isserwirt in Lans. We ate in their beautiful garden. Jim had Schnitzel and Susan had one of the best meals of her life… no idea what it was called on the menu but I took a risk on a fish dish… seared char I think with slivers of bacon and straw mushrooms, little polenta cakes and warm slightly picked cucumber slices. Amazing.
We are very glad we stayed in Igls. Innsbruck was a little too busy (the little we saw of it). Yet who wouldn’t want to be here! We are lucky. And we are so very appreciative of the time you gave us. It was a special day.
We are now back to Canada, back with so good souvenirs from Austria and of course, you are include in those.
We appreciated of course your visit but also yourself as a kind and generous person. We learned a lot about Innsbruck and of course, we went at some places that we wouldn’t have never gone without you.

My greeter Rudi made me feel very welcome in Innsbruck. He did a really extensively researched 42-Tour with me and as well gave me many new and interesting insights into my favorite book — and of course he also had a towel with him 🙂
At the same time he also gave recommendations for sightseeing in Innsbruck. While walking along he pointed out some places and sights – it was a very varied, extremely exciting tour and Rudi spared no effort in answering my questions and letting me come home with many stories.
