We are very grateful to our wonderful greeter Michaela, who spent over two hours showing us around Innsbruck. We wish we had alloted more time to spend in this town.
Compared with standard tours, walking around with Michaela felt like walking around town with a friend. The dynamic is entirely different. You get to ask any questions you wish, the pace is entirely up to you. We felt that we got both the historical facts and a glimpse into the local culture. She also gave us a few pointers as to what else we may want to see.
We also shared something special – when looking for a greeter, we indicated that we wouldn’t mind a guide who spoke Russian, as some of our group was not fluent in English. Our wish has been granted – Michaela is fluent in Russian! We all sincerely thank you for your time and hospitality.
We definitely want to come back to Innsbruck!
